President Donald Trump’s name will likely appear on the stimulus check that millions of Americans will recieve to help combat the effects on the economy by the coronavirus during a last-minute United States Treasury order, a senior administration official confirmed to CNN on Tuesday.
Two senior Treasury officials informed The Washington Post, which initially reported the choice, that the move will probably set back the original delivery date on the initial set of paper checks — potentially slowing a process that would already take up to 20 weeks. The administration official, however, insisted to CNN that the move won’t lead to a delay.
